Extension School

Extension School permits for the 2024 Fall semester will be available in September. Students must apply for permits in person at the Parking Office and pay by cash, travelers check, personal check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover only). Upon registration, please be ready to provide the following information:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A valid Harvard ID

It is the responsibility of the student operating a motor vehicle at the University to inform Parking Services of any vehicle change or registration change made during the semester.

The rate for all student Evening Commuter permits for the 2023/2024 academic year is $186.00. Permits are valid from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

All parking on Harvard property is by permit only. Harvard University Parking Services offers a limited number of permits for nearby University garages or surface lots for Extension School parking. Evening Commuter permits are valid for non-assigned parking in a designated facility, valid between 4:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends and University holidays. Permit issuance is determined by current availability. Commuter permits are not available to residents of Harvard University affiliated housing, and are for commuting students only. Hours of parking on this permit are strictly enforced, violators subject to ticketing, towing, and revocation of parking privileges. These permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are only valid in the designated garage or lot indicated on the permit.

Please email Parking Services at parking@harvard.edu if you have any questions regarding parking on campus.
