What’s New:
The Harvard Shuttle may be a quicker and more convenient way of getting to your destination!
Transportation Services is excited to announce that real-time tracking information of the Harvard Shuttles is now visible in the Evening and Daytime Van apps.
Real-time shuttle tracking introduces real-time options that allow riders to make an immediate choice on which transit option to take. When booking a van trip, a bus/train icon will be displayed if the trip can also be served by one of our shuttles.
Please view the example below that shows the rider will reach their destination quicker by taking the Harvard Shuttle rather than the Evening Van (click image to enlarge):

If you choose to take the shuttle because it is a faster and more direct alternative, navigate to the bus/train icon option in the "Select a Ride" menu and click “Show Route” to view the proposed shuttle trip.

Directions to the shuttle stop, shuttle stop details and the real-time arrival of the shuttle will be displayed in the pop-up screen and can also be viewed on the map.

You do not need to reserve a seat on a shuttle to accept the shuttle option in the app. Simply head over to shuttle stop to board.
What we do:
The Harvard Evening Van transports faculty, staff, and students safely around campus as a supplement to our fixed route shuttle bus system. We only operate in the Cambridge/ Allston campus and within University boundaries which can be seen here: Boundary map download.
To provide the best service, riders will sometimes be asked to walk a short distance to a designated pickup location. This allows the system to operate faster so you will be picked up and dropped off sooner. We have selected many pickup locations that are safe and convenient.
The service operates every night between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. throughout the academic year. The last ride request is accepted at 2:15 a.m. After Commencement and until classes begin, the service operates from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m., last call is at 11:30. No advance reservations are accepted, book the ride when you need it. Due to Covid 19 we are currently operating a modified schedule. This service is free to use for the Harvard Community.
Please note that this is a shared service. Be considerate of other riders by being ready to board when the van arrives and patient as the van will service other passengers during the trip.
