# Class Day & Commencement Transportation

Parking and shuttle services are available to all Harvard Class Day and Commencement Day guests. We look forward to serving you during these special events!
## Parking & Shuttle Services
### Parking
All guests, including those needing accessible parking, should proceed to:
- **Soldiers Field Park Garage** located at 111 Western Avenue in Allston, or
- **2 Hague Street Lot** in Allston.
Signs will be posted directing traffic to the designated locations above. **All parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 6:30 a.m., and is in satellite parking areas.** Shuttle services to Harvard Yard will be provided via the Allston Campus route.
### Shuttle
Special shuttle services will be operating on Class Day and Commencement Day. On **May 27, 2026**, the Class Day shuttle will operate from **8 a.m. to 9 p.m.** On **May 28, 2026**, the Commencement Day shuttle will run from **6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.**
The shuttle will run two fixed routes on a continuous loop:
- **Allston Campus Route**: Stops include Harvard Square, HBS Parking Lot, and Soldiers Field Parking Garage.
- **Radcliffe Quad Route**: Stops include Radcliffe Quad (Currier House), Garden St at Mason St, and Garden St at Mass Ave.

## Accessibility
Here are the details on accessible parking and shuttle services for Class Day and Commencement Day.
### Parking
- Guests with questions about accessibility parking needs or accommodations should email disabilityresources@harvard.edu to discuss.
- If you are looking for extended parking during Commencement week, please contact Parking Services at parking@harvard.edu. This week is busy at the University, and we may be unable to assist with all requests.
### Harvard Van
- **Daytime Van Service:** We will operate fully accessible vans for people who, because of physical impairment or medical condition, find it difficult to use the fixed route shuttles. Call (617) 495-0400 on the day of for a ride.
- **Evening Van Service:** This service will run between 7:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m., with the last call taken at 2:15 a.m. It is open to the entire Harvard Community, including visiting guests. It provides point-to-point ride service within our service boundaries around the Cambridge and Allston campuses. No advanced reservations are accepted. Rides can be requested at (617) 495-0400.
## Additional Information
### Security
Backpacks will not be allowed in Harvard Yard during all Commencement events. Please leave your backpack in your vehicle to avoid delays upon arrival at Harvard Yard.
### Traffic Advisory
Please plan your visit accordingly, as traffic in Cambridge will be extremely busy, with significant delays going to and from Harvard Square.
### Harvard Parking Restrictions
Harvard Parking Services is excited to celebrate Class Day and Commencement with the Harvard community. As in previous years, we will support these events and provide parking for families and visitors. [HOPPS daily permits and ZipBy hourly parking will be unavailable from May 27-28, 2026](https://transportation.harvard.edu/news/2025/05/zipby-hopps-parking-restrictions-class-day-commencement).
### Commercial Parking
Additionally, Commencement Week visitors and guests should be aware of numerous commercial parking facilities in and around Harvard Square. Locations and additional information can be found at [harvardsquare.com/parking](https://www.harvardsquare.com/parking). Please respect the Allston and Cambridge communities by not parking on residential streets.
