Tiered Rates
Select annual parking permit costs will be based on four salary tiers for full-time, benefits-eligible Harvard employees working a minimum of 35 hours per week. These rates apply to annual 5-day commuter parking permits paid via payroll deduction. Note: The tiered rate you will receive applies to your salary as of July 1, 2026.
Annual Parking Rate | TIER 1 | TIER 2 | TIER 3 | TIER 4 |
Less than $60,000 | $60,000-$84,999 | $85,000-$109,999 | $110,000 and above | |
5-day Unreserved Garage | $1,709 | $1,994 | $2,278 | $2,848 |

2nd Shift Unreserved Surface (2:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m.) | $794 | $927 | $1,059 | $1,324 |
- The tiered rate program does not apply to permits that are less than 5 days, already discounted (e.g., 3-Day, Carpool, Peabody Terrace, ECOM), reserved, tenant, or motorcycle.
- As a reminder, if you choose to pay by payroll deduction, parking will be deducted pre-tax, in full-month increments, resulting in a savings of approximately 25-30%. This is in addition to the savings you may get from a tiered rate.
