Alternative parking arrangements during student move-in

Dear River Area Permit Holder,

As in previous years, Harvard Parking Services will support move-in, which will take place from Thursday, August 27, 2026, through Sunday, August 30, 2026. To help parents and students move into their assigned campus housing safely, we are offering the following accommodations:

• All unreserved Cowperthwaite, Mill, Malkin, and Eliot Triangle permit holders may park their vehicle in the University Place Garage at 124 Mt. Auburn Street.
• Permit holders will receive an entry ticket when entering the facility. Once in the garage, please see the attendant and identify yourself as a Harvard University parking permit holder to receive a chaser ticket, allowing you to exit the garage free of charge. Please write your license plate number right away on the entry ticket. When exiting the facility, please insert the entry ticket with your license plate written on it and then the chaser ticket into the machine, and you will be allowed to exit.
• If an attendant is unavailable and you need any assistance while at the garage, please contact the manager of University Place Garage, Jessica Fronduto; she can be reached at her office by phone at (617) 491-0801.

If you would prefer to park in an alternate location on campus, you can do so at the 52 Oxford Street Garage by following this link and filling out your vehicle information to access the garage via your license plate. You only need to fill out this claim once to access the garage from August 27 through August 30.
