Parking Safety
We are committed to providing safe and reliable parking for the University community. Below you will find some resources available to those who park on or visit our campus. If you are encountering a crime in progress, or if you wish to file an incident report of a past crime, a disturbance, or suspicious activity, please call HUPD at (617) 495-1212 immediately.
- HUPD encourages community members to be vigilant while walking throughout campus and surrounding areas both during the day and at night and to take the appropriate precautions, such as walking with others and utilizing the Harvard Shuttles, Evening Van, and Campus Escort Program (HUCEP). - Blue Light Phones are located at outdoor locations throughout the campus. These phones should be used to report suspicious activity, crimes in progress, or any emergency situation. The dispatcher will identify the phone's location and dispatch police and other security personnel as necessary. More information about Blue Light Phones.
- Harvard Parking Services provides enforcement staff 24/7, including weekends and University holidays.
- Harvard Parking Services strives to provide a safe, well-lit parking experience. Lighting and access controls are monitored and maintained regularly to ensure we provide the best service possible. More information about MAP.
- The Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) supports any vehicle parked on campus with roadside assistance if an emergency arises.
